Driving License

A driving licence is an official document which states that a person may operate a motorized vehicle, such as a motorcycle, car, truck or a bus. The laws relating to driver's licensing vary between jurisdictions. In some jurisdictions, a driver's license is issued after the recipient has passed a driving test, while in others, a person acquires a license before beginning to drive. Different categories of license often exist for different types of motor vehicles, particularly large trucks and passenger vehicles. The difficulty of the driving test varies considerably between jurisdictions, as do factors such as age and the required level of practice.

In Indonesia to have a driving license/SIM (Surat Izin Mengemudi-in Indonesian), need some of requirements:

- Age

• SIM A, the applicant must be at least 17 years old.
• SIM BI & BII, the applicant must be at least 20 years old.
• SIM C & D, the applicant must be at least 16 years old.

- Photo.
- KTP (Kartu Tanda Pengenal) as an identity.

The Procedure

• Fill up the form within a copy of KTP and photo.
• Join the theory test.
• If you passed the theory test, then continue to practical test based on the type of SIM that you want.
• If passed all of the test then you will receive the SIM.
